The first book in my series of slim volumes of mathematical concepts, designed for understanding. Pentagonal Tessellations covers the history of the discovery of the 15 pentagons that tile the plane. From 1918 to 2015, mathematicians (and one working mother) have now found all iterations of tiling pentagons. The 48-page book contains meditative pages highlighting each pentagon and technical descriptions of their properties, all designed to gently caress the reader with color and beauty.
